Notes From The Universe
Posted by: | CommentsI recently subscribed again to Mike Dooley’s “Notes From The Universe” after a gap of a number of years. I find they always bring a smile to my face and offer some simple inspiration for my day.
They are free, personalized emails written by “The Universe,” designed to remind you that you are the creator of your life and are unconventional, funny and deeply insightful.
The P.S. is usually the icing on the cake. Take today’s note as an example:

Oh, that’s easy, Gillian! You should have asked ages ago!
Let’s put it this way: To perform like a “star,” to steal the show, and to party with the “Gods”… take the stage, do the dance, and invite yourself.
Be the spark,
The Universe
P.S. C’mon, Gillian, we’re waiting… and these shoes are killing me.

Man On Wire
Posted by: | CommentsI just loved this film. The photography is fantastic but the story is even more amazing. Philippe Petit decided he would walk on a high wire between the two towers after a seeing a picture of them during their construction. They weren’t even built but he just decided he would do the impossible. There are times in the film when he truly does believe it’s impossible but he is determined to finish his dream.
Interestingly, the story is also told of the other people involved in his dream and the effect it had on all of their relationships which makes the film even more fascinating.
Here’s the official trailer. I urge you to watch the whole thing as soon as you get the chance. It is an amazing testament to what is possible when you put your mind to it and to the power of engaging others in your dream.

Best YouTube Video Ever
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve committed to writing in this blog every week day but I’ve had a full on day today and can’t come up with anything very inspiring. So rather than force something I decided to post my favourite YouTube video of all time. If you haven’t seen it you’re in for a treat. I love it, love it, love it and I’m not alone. It’s been viewed 46,442,325 times.
This never fails to bring tears to my eyes and take me directly to a place of remembering what’s really important in life.
